I can’t decide if this is a travel blog about art history, or an art blog about travel. Either way, it’s fun for me! I am a proud nerd with an increasingly long list of people, places and things that I find interesting and a mind that tends to wander – hence a Daydream Tourist!
If Picasso did my portrait…
I grew up in Alaska and have visited most of the US, plus Austria, Ireland, Switzerland, Greece and Turkey. I have studied art history in Italy and taught middle school briefly in Belize. I am fascinated by geography, art, archaeology, history and world cultures. I wanted to start a blog to share some of the things in this world that really amaze me while mixing some of own travel experiences and artistic insights.
What you’ll find at the Daydream Tourist is a variety of unique and intelligent art, history and travel content which hopefully lets you walk away having learned something.

I think that it does not matter if Your blog is art blog or travel blog. Both of them are interesting, but our world is full with “unknown” things and to present them to others is a nice thing.
